WOW TBC Classic – Introductory Quests for the Blood-Elves

Entering the fold of WOW The Burning Crusade Classic (TBCC) this month is the whole-new playable race (returning race, if you’ve played the original TBC), the mostly red-cladded Blood-Elves.

With their royal heir and leader, Kael’thas Sunstrider bringing along a handful of their best warriors into Outland, it falls down to the remaining Sin’dorei forces to rebuild and reclaim the lands which have been lost during the attack by Arthas Menethil and his Scourge.

Under the guidance of Lor’themar Theron, the Regent Lord of Quel’Thalas, the Blood-Elves have managed to slowly rebuild most of their majestic capital city, Silvermoon.

Still, many problems continue to plague the once mighty High-Elven population, ranging from their fierce rivalry with the nearby Amani trolls to the escalating numbers of the Wretched, lost High-Elves who have succumbed to their addiction of magic.

If you’re all set to venture forth into the struggles and tribulations of the magic-attuned Blood-Elves, here are a few notable early-game quest lines which might intrigue you in your beginning adventures:

[QUEST] AGGRESSION (Level 4)

Objective: Kill seven (7) Tenders and seven (7) Feral Tenders, before returning to Lanthan Perilon on Sunstrider Isle.

– A pre-requisite quest before you will be able to enter a more challenging zone – Falthrien Academy – the Tenders (neutral Treants which have turned hostile against the Blood-Elves) are a just a small challenge for you to better grasp your abilities thus far.

– Ideally, your character will already be at level 3 or level 4 by now, which is strong enough to fight against one (1) to two (2) of these creatures at once (though Feral Tenders might be slightly more powerful).

Objective: Kill eight (8) Arcane Wraiths, two (2) Tainted Arcane Wraiths and Felendren the Banished (mini-Boss). Bring Felendren’s Head to Lanthan Perilon on Sunstrider Isle.

– Your first ‘Boss Fight’, Felendren is a Wretched who has failed to control his insatiable lust for magic, damning himself to eternal madness and exiled from the Blood-Elven society.

– He commands legions of Wraiths which will test you along the way in Flathrien Academy, but killing them off will be good experience besides completing one of the main quest objectives too.

Arcane Patrollers are not hard to find in Ruins of Silvermoon, but they can pose a threat to under-levelled players who are ill-prepared to face them.

– Still, they are a welcomed enemy to fight besides the usual ‘pick-up’ quests which you will mostly be given early on, providing you with plenty of experience boosts too.

[QUEST] WANTED: THAELIS THE HUNGERER (Level 6)

Objective: Bring the head of Thaelis the Hungerer to Sergeant Kan’ren at Falconwing Square, in Eversong Woods.

– At low-levels, Thaelis is a major force to be reckoned with, as he is also guarded by a few other allies to support him during combat.

– If you are level 6 or lower, this battle will be quite difficult to win by yourself unless you kite him/ his allies away, one by one.

Possible rewards

  • 2 Silver
  • 50 Copper
  • Experience and Reputation (Silvermoon City)

In Sunstrider Isle, there are plenty more main storylines and side quests for you to discover along the way.

However, these few are probably the most enjoyable ones until you reach level 10 and above (much more challenging and difficult).
